Zina Dorado
PRESIDENT
Hello! I’m Zina, an MD3 at North LC with an undergraduate background in Pharmacy from UQ. SWIM has enriched my medical school journey by connecting me with inspiring clinicians and new friends, and this year I’m hoping to start learning figure skating! -
Estella Le
SECRETARY
My name is Estella and I am going into my second year of medicine. Before medicine, I studied a Bachelor of Pharmacy at UQ. My favourite SWIM events are the welcome picnic and cocktail night, where I met some of my closest friends in medicine! In my spare time I love running, reading and spending time outdoors -

Hi I’m Jane and I’m a second year med student. Before med I studied a Bachelor of Medical Science at the University of Sydney. I enjoy travelling, bullet journaling and learning to ski. I can’t wait for another year working with the SWIM team to deliver some amazing events for all of our members!!!

Nicole Li
COMMUNITY AND INITIATIVES OFFICER
Hi, my name is Nicole and I’m in second year med. I studied a Bachelor of Science for my undergrad and I love travelling and meeting new people. As community and initiatives officer, I am excited to provide our members with more opportunities to give back to the community. I’m a proud mum to a spoilt fur-baby and this year I want to become a matcha whisk artist.
-
Samira Haddad
MARKETING AND PUBLICATIONS OFFICER
My name is Samira and I’m a second year medical student at UQ! Before starting Medicine, I completed a Bachelor of Biomedicine with Honours in my home state of Victoria. Although I have always had a strong interest in health inequities faced by women in our society, my honours project which focused on exploring miscarriage experiences of women from CALD backgrounds really solidified my passion towards advocacy in this area, which is why I joined SWIM. Apart from medicine, I really enjoy travelling (especially to Central and South America), hanging out with my loved ones and scrapbooking.
-
Manisha Dona
LIASON AND ADVOCACY OFFICER
I am Manisha, a second-year medical student in the North Learning Community. SWIM was such an enjoyable and welcoming group to be part of in my first year! Before starting medical school, I worked in research, coordinating a longitudinal study that followed women after childbirth, focusing on their health and relationships. I completed my Honours year in Neuroscience at Alfred Hospital and subsequently worked as a Research Assistant. I have also been a Community Organiser and have been involved in many grassroots movements across Melbourne. Advocacy has always been a core part of who I am. Growing up, I learned to value community deeply and believe it sits at the heart of life’s finest things. Outside of medicine, I love running, spontaneous adventures with friends and family, spending time with my noodle dog Nelly, and anything involving animals.
-
Gabrielle Brown
SPONSORSHIP OFFICER
My name is Gabby and I am a 2nd year student. Before Medicine, I completed a Bachelors in Biomedical Science with Honours. My favourite part of studying Medicine so far has been the integrated style of learning in TBLs and making new friends. In my downtime I love going to the gym, sewing and reading.
-
Samantha Law
RETURNING OFFICER
Hi, I’m Sam an MD4 student at South LC! Prior to medicine I did a Bachelor of Science at USYD, dabbled in a bit of research before finding my way into Medicine. Being away from home (Sydney) has given me the opportunity to try so many new things and SWIM has been such a crucial journey in my medical school journey as it has given me the opportunity to make so many new friends and also be involved! Outside of medicine, I enjoy hosting potlucks with my friends, being active, but also appreciate a calm re-energising night-in reading a book or watching some show! If you see me around uni/hospitals, don’t be shy or hesitate to say hi!!
